Work began in 1993 photographing 'new bands' at the NME.
This led to press and design commissions from Record Labels and then subsequently onto feature portraits for National and International Newspapers and Magazines, Book Publishers and Design and PR companies (see sample client list on home page). Black & White Photography Magazine ran the cover and a five page feature on my photography, largely focusing on the portraits shot for The Guardian.
In addition to this, commissions now also come from clients as varied as City Banks, Electrical Engineers, Medical Foundations, Local Councils, Theatres, Actors, Contract Publishers, Trade Magazines, Authors, Composers, Fashion Designers, Charitable Organisations, NHS Trusts, Barristers and In-Flight Magazines.
I've this year been photographing the dignity of people caught up in busy lives for an exhibition entitled 'still' (see NEWS item) and for 2008 have the project 'PLAY' lined-up, concentrating on what it is for children to play. This could teach us grown-ups a thing or two I feel sure.
